The Department of Organic and Biochemical Chemistry is officially born at the beginning of 2001.
The didactic activity and the investigation of the Department are developed in the own sectors of organic Chemistry and the Biochemistry (Area to discipline CHIM06, CHIM11, BIO10 and BIO11).

The School of Specialization in Biotechnological Applications, the Advanced officer training course in Organic Synthesis and the Course of Perfeccionamento in Chemistry of the Natural Substances are mentioned.
