Industrial quality and toxicity tests.

The objective of this working group is to verify the quality of the methods and products already developed by the SOPHIED partners from the point of view of the toxicity of the dyes, of the quality of the dyes on the fibres and the preparations for the leather industry.

The industrial partners’ laboratories have taken over. The international ISO quality standards are used as well as the criteria used to obtain labels such as Ökotex or the EU flower which are completely recognised and appreciated in the industrial environment.
They have shown the potential of some bio dyes to

Colour supports such as wool, polyamide, and even leather.
Their resistance to washing, sweat, and light have been verified as well as any mutagenic character. A lower toxicity is also an important selection criteria.
